Description

Emptying the Void is a quiet introspection on the light and dark of existence.
An aspiration to understand the unnameable aspects of the human experience.
For artist Suruchi Choksi, the process of writing and the act of creating the
book has been, both a refuge and a revelation – a confrontation of her fears, an
embracing of the fragility of life and a celebration of resilience. Her practice is a
meditation on how our individual experiences are interwoven into a shared
existence, and the illusory boundaries between self and other. The struggles
and awakenings are collective, bound by the common threads of human
vulnerability.
The book unfolds as a dialogue between poetry and image, stillness and
motion, presence and void. Language dissolves into form, blurring the line
between the tangible and the intangible. The poems challenge traditional
notions of language, inviting readers to move beyond concepts and engage
with the intuitive, experiential nature of existence.

About the Artist
Suruchi Choksi is an artist whose work spans painting, photography, sculpture,
and video installations, exploring themes of space, absence, and elsewhere.
Recently, her practice has expanded into text-based art and poetry,
experimenting with concrete poetry and asemic writing to reveal the fluidity and
power of language beyond conventional meanings.
